Dr. Steffen Gackstatter
Steffen Gackstatter is leading Monitor Innovation (MI) within the Monitor Group in the Europe and MENA. He has over 10 years of consulting experience, initially with Arthur D. Little in Europe and US. Prior to consulting he worked for the R&D department of Robert Bosch and in marketing and sales for Hewlett-Packard and L’Oreal.
Focus of his consulting assignments is on business growth and innovation excellence. He has helped clients at the interface of business and technology with assignments on strategic portfolio and platform management, global innovation processes, technology analysis and commercialization, regional development and executive training.
Steffen is lecturer for innovation management at different MSI and MBA programs in the US and Europe. He has published two books on innovation breakthroughs and portfolio planning and multiple articles. Steffen studied business administration and economics at the University of Hohenheim and international management at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris. His dissertation in technology management titled “Decision Support for R&D Portfolio Planning” received the Rudi Häussler Grant. He is native German and speaks fluently English and French.
