Dr. Ashok Boghani

Ashok Boghani is senior member of Monitor Innovation and is an Associate Partner of the Monitor Group Company.  Prior to joining the Monitor, he spent over 20 years at Arthur D. Little (ADL) then three years at an Internet startup. At ADL, he was a Vice President, providing consulting services to the automotive and transportation industries in the area of globalization, visioning and strategy and technology management. His clients included OEMs, automotive suppliers, US department of Transportation as well as providers of high technology products and services.

His experience has focused primarily on technology development, evaluation and management.  Within Monitor Innovation, Ashok is responsible for creating and managing a vast network of external technology and industry experts. This network has been invaluable in addressing client issues at the intersection of technology and strategy in diverse areas as: flat panel displays, food texturization, novel electric motor technology, automotive seating, chilled confectionary and lipid nutrition, medical devices, semiconductor manufacturing and solar cells.

Ashok has been a recipient of NASA Certificate of Recognition in 1976, and again in 1978, for the "Creative Development of Technology," related to the air cushion landing systems. He has authored or co-authored numerous publications, including a book on technology management in the automotive industry.  Ashok received his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Bachelor of technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
