Edward Alfano
Edward Alfano is a member of Monitor Innovation, a Monitor Group company. He has focused on driving growth by matching promising technologies with unmet market needs. His experience ranges from assessing technology opportunities for Fortune 500 companies to developing a commercialization strategy for a biotechnology startup. Recently, Edward helped a pharmaceutical client prioritize a franchise and allocate R&D spending by comparing markets, competitors, and new technologies across several therapeutic areas. Edward is experienced in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, specialty chemicals, and energy.
Prior to joining Monitor, Edward worked at Columbia University’s Law School analyzing pharmaceutical patents. Additionally, he was an active researcher at the Columbia Genome Center for two years where he studied innovative sequencing technology.
Edward graduated from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering.
