Charlene Chen

Charlene Chen is a member of Monitor Innovation, a part of the Monitor Group. At Monitor, she has worked in a range of industries from shipping to consumer goods, with the focus being on assessing future trends and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Previously, Charlene worked at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust where she helped evaluate business intelligence options as well as developed and maintained a system for competitor tracking and analysis. In the past, she has also been involved in developing business plans that leverage technology in areas including beauty care and food packaging. Lastly, she has worked on a number of research projects relating to online social networks and communities, such as the blogosphere and eBay.
Charlene graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania as part of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. Through this program she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Her majors and areas of concentration include accounting, finance, management and the strategic management of operations and information.
