Alex Roth
Alex Roth is a partner at Monitor Group, and is responsible for innovation activities in Europe. He has a special interest in advising global companies on how to improve performance by harnessing their assets and capabilities, and applying them to specific market opportunities. His work has led to the development of new business models that have altered the basis of competition across several industry sectors.
Alex worked on the development and implementation of new ownership and operating structures for the multi-billion dollar submarine cable sector, resulting in substantial financial market value creation for a global telecommunications client. He also spearheaded the development and implementation of innovation growth platforms for a global consumer products client, which resulted in improved growth, profitability, and return on investment. For an unprofitable mobile operator, he determined a new market position, and assisted in the implementation of a new business model, bringing about a dramatic improvement in the company’s market performance and employee morale.
Alex holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University , where he was an F.C. Austin Scholar. He holds an M.Phil. in Economics from Oxford University , and a BA in Economics from Yale University .
